Do you have unused or expired medications? National Drug Take Back Day is coming up on October 27th. According to the 2015 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 6.4 million Americans abused controlled prescription drugs. The survey shows that a majority of abused prescription drugs were obtained from family and friends, often from the home medicine cabinet. Rx Safe Del Norte is partnering with the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office to accept your unwanted prescription medications on Saturday, October 27th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office, 650 Fifth Street, Crescent City, CA 95531. If transportation is an issue, deputies can even pick up medications from your home. Proper medication disposal helps keep communities, waterways, and wildlife safe.
Do you have expired, unused, or unwanted medications? Two locations are now accepting all medications – including controlled substances.
